Port of Savannah container berth 1 realignment
Project overview
Container Berth 1 Realignment grant enabled the Port of Savannah’s to realign its easternmost berth to accommodate 14,000 TEU container ships. The project involved demolishing, rebuilding, and deepening the berth to optimize use of the navigation channel, enhancing the port’s container processing speed and efficiency. This project received $34,600,000 in PIDP 2019 and is now 100% complete.
