Port Delaware Edgemoor container terminal
Project overview
The Port Delaware Edgemoor Container Terminal Project will build a container yard with all-electric operations, a new truck gate complex, and terminal facilities, including a 100,000-square-foot warehouse and an inspection platform. Features include i) shore power infrastructure to support cold ironing, (ii) electric and/or hybrid port equipment, (iii) intermodal connectivity and (iv) refrigerated container plugs. This project received $50,000,000 in PIDP 2023 and is part of a wider effort to combine Port of Wilmington with a new facility to become "Port Delaware" - a new public-private partnership port.
